Bath Road is a specialist children's home for young people aged 8 to 18 who have complex needs which may include autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). The Somerset home is within easy walking access to its local town centre, leisure facilities and community services.
The home’s focus is to promote the development of individual social behaviour, independence and personal skills and offering opportunities to practice these in real life settings. This ensures that our young people develop a positive outlook on life in a safe, warm, welcoming, structured and fun environment.
Bath Road is designed to be comfortable, homely and reflect ordinary domestic style living. The home consists of a detached house with a garden to the front, rear and side. There is a large activity room and a homework /tuition room to help deliver the right environment for both recreation and study. All our young people are encouraged to personalise their rooms (of which most are ensuite) to reflect their individual personality and preference.
Our young people may attend one of the local schools provided by Aspris Children's Services in the local area which includes North Hill House School and Farleigh Further Education College in Frome or Newbury Manor School in the neighbouring village of Mells. Alternatively, the young people may attend another suitable school that is not part of Aspris Children's Services.
