Clay Hill School believes in creating bespoke learning packages and individual timetables for each of our pupils, based around their abilities, interests and level of need.
Small classes for tailored teaching
Class sizes at Clay Hill School are kept purposely small in order to provide high staff to pupil ratios and individualised learning programmes. On average, we have six pupils per class, although this will vary slightly according to the needs of the young people being taught. Each class will have a minimum of one Teacher and one Learning Support Assistant. We aim for a typical staff to pupil ratio of 1: 3½.
At the point of initial referral, if 1:1 dedicated support is identified as a need, then this will be included in the placement package offer.
