Our young people leave Clay Hill through a Post-16 transition, supported by our Inclusion Assistant Head and Careers lead, which ensures post-16 education has been considered discussed and arranged to meet the needs of each individual young person.
Each child leaves with qualifications in line with their personal accreditation pathway.
2017-2018
Accreditations of whole group – 10 GCSEs achieved in Food, English, Maths and Art and Design, ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 5
Post-16 – All young people attended further education provision at Brockenhurst College. Examples of courses completed were Media Studies, Art, Health and Fitness and Music.
2018-2019
Accreditations of whole group – 4 GCSEs were achieved in Food and Art and Design. All were Grade 3. In addition, 6 Functional Skills qualifications were obtained.
Post-16 – Young people attended further education provision. Examples of this are at Bournemouth and Poole College and Boveridge College where pupils studies; Public Services, Music and Catering and Hospitality.
2019-2020
Accreditations of whole group – 3 GCSEs were achieved in Food and Art and Design. Grades ranged from 3-5. In addition, 4 Functional Skills qualifications were obtained.
Post-16 – Young people attended further education provision. Examples of this are: Studying Vocational Studies at our Post-16 Skills Centre provision; Animal Management at Sparsholt College and Vocational qualifications at our Totton Post-16 provision.
2020-2021
We are still in the final stages of collecting evidence for teacher assessment of GCSE grades for this academic year.
Post-16 – Our young people all have confirmed places for post-16 education. This includes studying at; Brockenhurst College, Sparsholt College, The Wing College and Boveridge College. Courses that will be studied are: Health and Social Care, Animal Management, Drama and Art A levels, Culinary Skills, Vocational Studies.
