Sharing the same peaceful location as Kingsbrook School, Kingsbrook House is a registered children’s home for young people aged 11-18 years. The home offers 38 and 52 week placements.
Supporting the needs of the young people
At Kingsbrook House, young people are supported to rebalance their lives, building self-esteem and resilience, and achieving greater emotional stability. The staff recognise each young person’s individuality and celebrate their achievements. Young people become more aware of their strengths, abilities and the progress they make.
The staff team ensure that young people have opportunities to express their feelings and talk through their goals, aspirations and concerns. They provide comfort and reassurance, supporting the young person to understand the challenges their mental health issues present, and to actively take control of their wellbeing. Staff support young people to develop and encourage problem solving skills and coping strategies when challenging situations arise.
