Located in a rural setting on the outskirts of a small village in Derbyshire, Moor Field House is a nurturing children’s home.
We support young people aged 9 to 18 years with mental health needs, attachment disorders, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) and other additional needs.

Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, Moor Field House is designed to encourage warmth and stability, with a caring planned structure. We provide young people with the opportunity to try new experiences and discover a sense of growth.
At Moor Field House we provide a caring, nurturing and stimulating environment with established boundaries for young people who have previously experienced emotional pain, social and academic failure, and rejection. Supporting individuals to reach their full potential, building on strengths and celebrating individual achievements.
Service summary
The range of services and facilities available at Moor Field House includes:
- A dormer bungalow with views overlooking fields
- 3 individual bedrooms which the young people are encouraged to personalise
- A range of communal areas, including a lounge, games room/quiet room and a large kitchen/diner that leads to the garden
- 2 landscaped garden areas, 1 of which has a large summer house where young people can spend time socialising, watching movies, studying or being creative
- Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted
- Strong links with the local community
- A wide range of both on-site and community-based activities
