Progress School is a highly specialist day school for children and young people aged 7 to 19. We support young people with a range of complex developmental disabilities, specialising in autism. Some of our students live in one of our registered children’s homes, offering 38 or 52 week residential care, whilst others remain in their family home.
All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan and have often experienced difficulties within mainstream and local authority special schools, or other specialist provisions, before coming to us. Many of our students have been missing from education for significant periods of time before joining us and we offer a safe and supportive environment to enable them to settle and then thrive.
Located in Clayton Brook, Preston, Progress School has excellent transport links and easy access to the M6, M61 and M65 motorways making the school well-connected to a number of nearby towns and cities. This enables our students to learn and thrive in a range of community settings and to generalise skills learned in the school environment.
