The close-knit staff team at Quay View School is well-established with a broad range of specialist knowledge and experience. Together, they share a vision of supporting children and young people to overcome their barriers, follow their aspirations and achieve their true potential.

Staff are highly motivated, reflective and engaged, following evidence-based best practice, recognised strategies and approaches. They are caring, dedicated and unswerving in their support of our young people. Staff members build trusting relationships with students and provide the consistency, structure and routine that they need to feel comfortable, secure and ready to learn. They model the behaviours we look to develop in our young people such as respect, tolerance and understanding.
In addition to developing strong relationships with our students, we pride ourselves on the connections we make with their families. Staff work in partnership with parents and those who support each child, providing daily updates on progress and regularly consulting on next steps. All have an understanding of the impact that having a child with complex needs can have on families. There is an open door culture, which promotes open communication with families and facilitates easy access to all staff, including the Head Teacher. We also provide a range of support to parent/ carers to assist them in supporting their child and their education and development.
