Careful consideration ensures high quality placements
The admission process at Rossendale School is individually tailored to the young person who is considering attending the school. Very careful consideration is given to each case to determine whether the school can fully meet the pupil’s individual needs.
We study case papers, where relevant we visit young people in their current setting, and invite parents and young people into school before an offer is made. It is important to note that Rossendale School only offers places where the parents/carers/guardians feel they can fully support the placement. We believe that mutual co-operation between parents/carers and the school is vital to ensuring a successful placement.
All admissions are overseen by the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher, who have a solid understanding of what the school can offer. Leading the admissions process, they are able to ensure high quality placements that are in the best interests of the young person.
