Choosing the right school or college for your child is a big decision, particularly when in another country. Our schools and colleges go to great lengths to create nurturing and supportive environments, both within and beyond the classroom, so that your child feels safe, secure and valued during their time with us.
Safe and supportive pastoral care
We understand that many of the young people who join us might have been bullied in their previous educational placement, making our high-quality pastoral care even more important.
Maintaining cultural and religious beliefs
We are experienced in supporting students from a broad range of countries, cultures and religions and actively encourage young people to practice their own faiths and beliefs in a positive and open environment. Our schools and colleges offer:
- Cultural and religious celebrations (e.g. Eid)
- On-site prayer rooms
- School chefs experienced in catering for specialist diets, including preparing Halal meals
- Supporting young people to access local places of worship and religious groups
- Specially designed menus developed by chefs from our students’ home countries
Keeping in touch
We encourage young people to keep in regular contact with family and friends while they are in our care, providing support to maintain close relationships through:
- Skype
- Telephone
- Face-to-face visits
- Personal liaison worker
Safeguarding
Aspris schools and colleges are committed to promoting the welfare of children and young people, and protecting all vulnerable individuals in our services. We significantly invest in safeguarding processes, structures and policies, alongside constant monitoring of adherence to best practice.
