A budding teenage photographer has been congratulated on his stunning work by a hotel in the heart of the historic town of Tavistock which now intends to use his images to promote itself to visitors.
As part of a BTEC Level 3 photography course, Cameron Parker-Stimpson, a pupil at Priory’s Chelfham Bere Alston School, was asked to find a place best suited to location photography.
Cameron asked, The Bedford Hotel in Tavistock if he could visit the premises and capture its award-winning cuisine on camera.
Andy Young, photography teacher at Chelfham Bere Alston in Yelverton, Devon, said: “All images were taken using complex photographic equipment and then processed using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.”

hen wrote to Cameron thanking him - and said the stunning images were so good it would upload them on the hotel’s Facebook page. "To his amazement, the prestigious establishment said yes, so for a fortnight he was taking images of their food, and then he gave them his processed images."
Mike Coombes, sales and marketing manager at the historic Bedford Hotel, said he had been "absolutely delighted" to work with Cameron whose pictures were "excellent" and showed a great deal of skill.

s obvious. It takes a lot of patience to get these sorts of images absolutely right and Cameron’s work showcases our high-quality, locally sourced food perfectly."

In his letter to the school, Mr Coombes said: "Thank-you for allowing us to make use of these photos. We will upload a few of them to our Facebook page today, with credit to Chelfham Bere Alston School, and I would also expect to use them on our website."
