Welcome to Kingsbrook School situated in the village of Southborough in Norfolk. Located in a peaceful and calming rural setting, we are a therapeutic day and residential school, providing specialist education and care services to children and young people aged 11-18 years with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Our students may also have a range of additional complex needs as a result of trauma, attachment disorders and other associated issues.
Learning and support that transforms lives
Kingsbrook School delivers personalised education and support that transforms young people’s lives. We have a successful track record of enabling our students to overcome their barriers to learning and achieve their true potential.
We understand that education must be done differently for our students, whose needs have not been met by mainstream or even other specialist schools. Our school provides a learning environment for every student to gain in self-confidence, building their self-esteem and enabling them to achieve and become resilient lifelong learners. The young people at Kingsbrook School are also supported to understand and address their mental health difficulties, regaining control of their life and unlocking the many opportunities life has to offer.
Nurturing and celebrating success
We believe that every student has potential and it is our responsibility to ensure young people achieve this within a safe and nurturing learning environment. We are committed to recognising the achievements of our students who have often not had their successes celebrated before they arrive at our school. We support young people to appreciate their abilities and strengths, and encourage these to develop during their time at Kingsbrook School. We clearly link each student’s learning with their interests and aspirations, making this meaningful, accessible and enjoyable.
Specialist school facilities
Our school has been specifically designed with the needs of our students in mind and has bright, spacious and modern learning spaces, fully-equipped with the latest technology. It is situated in a quiet village setting with extensive grounds, providing opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom, be active, undertake therapy and relax.
A commitment to safety and welfare
Kingsbrook School is well-equipped to protect the vulnerable young people in our care. The school has a robust safeguarding culture which means that the safety and welfare of our students is at the forefront of everything that we do.
We would love to welcome you to Kingsbrook School. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to arrange a visit.
