Located in a beautiful area of rural Staffordshire, Rugeley School is an independent specialist school.
Offering placements for children and young people (boys and girls) aged 5 to 19 years, the school caters for those with a primary diagnosis of autism or in some cases evidence of behaviours which are in accordance with such a diagnosis. All our students have associated learning difficulties within the moderate to severe range.
Rugeley School respects autism and prepares young people with ASD to be as happy and independent as possible through the provision of a safe, welcoming, relaxed, yet structured environment.
We deliver a personalised curriculum to every pupil, which aspires to develop each individual’s potential with regard to:

- Academic attainment
- Self-regulated behaviour
- Social and emotional development
- Life-skills
The curriculum places significant emphasis on physical exercise and a multisensory approach which encourages students to develop social, educational and practical skills, whilst enjoying an active and fulfilling life in beautiful surroundings.
